In my junior year of high school, I picked up my very first film camera and took my first photography class. From that moment, I fell in love with photography and working in the darkroom. I knew that's what I was meant to do.
When I graduated high school in 2004, I was offered a swimming scholarship to San Jose State University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Art, with a Concentration in Photography (December 2009). Before graduating, I met my husband and the rest is history! You'll often see my husband holding a light or helping in any way he can. We now have two amazing little girls and have relocated and settled in San Luis Obispo County after living in San Diego for over 9 years. When I first moved to San Diego, I decided to earn my Private Pilot's License while working at the airport (December 2008), and started doing aerial photography out of a plane. Although I do a lot more portrait work now, I still enjoy doing commercial work as well.
People often ask me why I wanted to be a photographer, and my answer is always the same, "because I've never not been a photographer." It's the magic behind that simple photograph that tells such an elaborate story, and it's the people I meet and the lives I become a part of that make this the perfect job.
My style is simple, clean, and timeless. Whether you want lasting memories of your wedding day, or images of your family playing at the beach, I want to be there to capture your moment in time and create images you can treasure forever.
